Here is Åsa’s cinnamon bun recipe
Åsa’s Cinnamon Buns
150 g butter (extra salted)
50 g (1 packet) yeast
1 dl granulated sugar
1 tsp salt (if using unsalted butter)
2 tsp cardamom
Approx. 12-14 dl flour
Mix and knead the ingredients together for a few minutes.
Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
Split the dough into two parts to make it easier.
Roll out the dough to roughly 30 x 40 cm.
Combine the following:
100-150 g soft butter
1 dl sugar
3 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp vanilla sugar
Spread the filling out on the dough, roll it up, cut into slices and leave to rise for 30 minutes.
Brush with beaten egg and bake at 250 °C for eight minutes (no fan).
