Product specialist who loves sports cars, music & creative meetings

Niklas Dippelreiter is an open and attentive person who loves sports cars, music, and meeting new people. As a product specialist, his job is to visit new and existing customers in the furniture and interior design industry. He enjoys meeting creative people and being part of the process from the beginning, long before the furniture is ready to be sold on the market.

Passion for sports cars
and music

Cars and music are Niklas’ biggest interests, and his absolute favorite car brand is Aston Martin, but in the garage, there is actually a yellow Harley Davidson that he likes to ride around on. He believes that driving is not just about getting from A to B, but it should also be a pleasant experience, whether it’s private or work-related.

Product development from idea to finished product

Niklas works as a product specialist at Ackurat and visits both ‘soft contract’ and ‘hard contract’ clients. Soft contract refers to, for example, hotels and restaurants, while hard contract refers to, for example, office furnishings and schools where the wear and tear are significantly higher.

He particularly enjoys meeting creative people where he gets to share thoughts on why certain furniture is developed and has a lot of contact with designers and product developers. It is both rewarding and fun to be involved from the beginning, long before the furniture is ready and sellable on the market,"" says Niklas, adding

It is really cool to see an auditorium filled with chairs connected with our chair connectors!

Appreciates informal meetings and experiences

Niklas loves informal meetings and meeting new people. It is an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and have fun, rewarding discussions. Since he started at Ackurat in 1993, he has built up a wide range of knowledge and gathered many experiences. Today, he feels that he is almost a brand in his own right thanks to everything he has learned.

Creative meeting places for product development

For Niklas, it is fun to be involved in the entire product development process from start to finish. He proudly talks about the product group STARP with the ‘Anti-rotation pin solution,’ which ensured that the chair glides stayed in place on the chair leg. This was developed through a furniture glide for the iconic Sting chair from Blåstation, and he exclaims enthusiastically

It was a hit!

Another fun experience he shares was the development of vibration-welded felt. The idea came from the automotive industry with a ‘standard base plate/glide in Ackurat’s case,’ which created ‘added value’ through, for example, a vibration-welded felt surface that is both gentle on the floor surface and significantly reduces structure-borne noise in the frames. By further developing that method, it could be used on Ackurat’s products. “It really became a milestone,” he concludes with satisfaction.
